She was predeceased by: her brother Alan Umin; her parents, Ruth Umin and Jospeh Umin; and her grandfather Rabbi Abraham Oninberg. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Lee Schaefer; her daughters, Judith Alene Schaefer and Lisa Needle (Mitchell); her sister Sheila Shevitz (late Bertram); her granddaughters, Sydney Needle (Miles Miller-Dickson) and Jacqueline Schaefer Needle; and her nieces and nephews, Michael Shevitz, David Shevitz, Robin Aubrey and Nancy Hubner.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sol Levinson's Chapel (8900 Reisterstown Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208).
