He was predeceased by: his parents, Clive Winston and Grace James (Winters); his wife Dorothy E. "Dottie" James; his son Jay Taylor; his grandson Nathan Taylor; and his siblings, Elizabeth Preston, Grace Mann, Winston and Samuel James.
He is survived by: his sons, Wayne M. Taylor and Matthew A. James; his grandchildren, Elton J. Taylor, Ashton M. Taylor and Ashley N. Taylor Nock; his siblings, Adelia McKenzie and Roger James (Geraldine); his brother-in-law John Lopes; and his daughter-in-law Linda Taylor. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (1222 Vocke Rd, Cumberland, MD 21502).
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Al may make contributions to Christ Lutheran Church, or to the Allegany County.
