He is survived by: his children, Oleg Smolkin (Diana), Yelena Zhukov and Alexander Alberstein (Rina); his grandchildren, Paul Zhukov, Victoria Smolkin, Vladislav Smolkin, Sarah Alberstein and Benjamin Alberstein; and his great grandchild Sophia Rothrock.
