With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Maddalena Fitzsimmons of Riva, Maryland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Maddalena left this world on November 7, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paola Casu and Francesco Pintore. She is survived by: her husband George F. Fitzsimmons; her daughters, Rosemary (Randy Stewart), Beatrice (Jeffrey Gilbert), Evelyn (Joe Pauletich) and Paula Brady; her brother Mario Pintore of Florence, Italy.; her son George Francis Fitzsimmons Jr.; her brothers, Salvatore and Giuseppe Pintore; her parents-in-law, Francis J. and Evelyn H. Fitzsimmons; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Lee Fitzsimmons. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hardesty Funeral Home - Annapolis (12 Ridgely Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401). A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Crownsville Maryland Veteran Cemetery (1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.
