He was predeceased by: his son Michael R. Yates, Jr.; his stepfather Ernest E. Ellis; and his brother Ernesrt E. Ellis, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Clarice Ellis; his sisters, Glenda Olfus and Janice Ford; and his stepson Roderick Hodge (Jovita Clements).
The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
