Geneva Gatling Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Geneva Gatling of Rock Hall, Maryland. Geneva, born on January 18, 1929, passed away on September 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Geneva for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Geneva’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Coleman and Naomi Thomas Coleman; her husband Robert R. Gatling; and her siblings, Lois Townsendand and Thomas J. Coleman.
She is survived by: her sons, Ric Gatling (Pam) of Placerville, CA, Wayne Gatling (Susan) of Rock Hall, MD and Rob Gatling (Mim) of Chestertown, MD. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rock Hall Sda Church (21366 E Sharp St, Rock Hall, MD 21661). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
