She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wilbur "Kizzy" Dowling, Jr. and Genevieve Stevens Dowling. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Kay "Tunnie" Bennett (Ronnie), Debbie Lynne Whaland (Charlie), Donald Lawerence Whaland and Mary Lou Christian; her grandchildren, James Colby Usilton (Lauren), Jenna Lynne Edwards, Jacob Whaland Edwards (Melissa), Sierra Diane Whaland and Autumn Lynne Iacona (Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Lowan Olivia, Logan Whaland and James Riggs.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Newnam Funeral Home (130 Speer Rd, Chestertown, MD 21620). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery (6179 Rock Hall Rd, Rock Hall, MD 21661).
