She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Stewart Collins and Willa Mary Collins; and her brother Dr. Keith E. Collins. She is survived by: her siblings, Addie Collins Johnson of Sharon, Gail Collins Williams (Joseph) of Wappingers Falls, Stewart E. Collins, Stephen M. Collins of Evansville and Wayne T. Collins of Bethesda, Maryland.; her nieces and nephews, Parker Collins Johnson (Karen) of Vancouver, Eric Collins (Jamie) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jennifer Wolfe (Dennis) of Evansville, Lauren A. Williams of Cairo and Kristen Horigan (Brendon) of Boonton; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Christopher Collins, Nicholas Marks of Indianapolis, Indiana, Quincy Anne Johnson of Vancouver and Rania Saeed of Cairo, Egypt. She is also survived by numerous relatives and lifelong friends.
Dr. Collins then worked for several years as a technical proposal writer for the Henry M. Jackson Foundation, contributing to numerous successful grant proposals.
