It is with sadness that the passing of Christopher Stifel (Rockville, Maryland) is shared. Christopher, born on February 13, 1948 in Washington, District of Columbia, passed away on September 20, 2026. Christopher will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Christopher by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Christopher is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Christopher’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Stifel and Chloe Stifel; and his siblings, Dana Kiplinger and Quentin Stifel. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Thornton; and his brothers, Rick Stifel (Lida) and Peter Stifel (Nan). He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, and fourteen great-nieces/nephews.
