She is survived by: her siblings, Grace Waitherero Kuria, Martin Karanja, Mary Njoki (Kamary), Simon Kibaki and Joseph Njoroge; her stepsisters, Edith Njeri Mwangi and Mary Njoki; her sons, Peter Mwangi, Jackson Kangethe, Samuel Njuguna and Anthony Karanja (Wanguku); and her daughters-in-law, Nancy Mwangi, Purity Kangethe and Pauline Njuguna. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
