With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Friedrich Hugo Kukelhaus (Rockville, Maryland), who passed away on May 30, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Friedrich leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Friedrich may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his wife Laura; his children, Monica, Anna, Frederick and Christina; and his sister Barbara Vogel. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
In honor of his love for nature and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Nature Conservancy - https://preserve.nature.org. - to support reforestation and environmental protection efforts in the Appalachian Mountains near his Washington D.C. home.
