With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Aistars in Rockville, Maryland, who passed away on May 20, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mara Germanis; his daughters, Sandra (Walter Zalenski) and Guntra (Hadley Renkin); his siblings, Aivars, Viestarts, Raits, Ernests Aistars (Anševics) and Lidija Aistars (Šulte); and his parents, Ernests Aistars and Ernest Aistars.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Latvian newspaper where he published most, "Latvija Amerikā.".
