We announce the death of Margaret Mary Rew of Rockville, Maryland, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 92. Margaret will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband James H "Jim" Rew of Randallstown, Maryland.; her son Stephen J Rew; her parents, Robert Joseph Geier, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Geier; and her siblings, Robert Geier, Jr., Edward Geier, Anna Bailey, Bernardine Duerbeck, Eleanor Sturbaum, Katherine Crenshaw, Theresa Garrett and Angela Frederick.
She is survived by: her children, Mary C (Cathy), Michael D Rew (Kathleen) and Christopher J Rew; and her siblings, Dorothy M O'Brien of Melbourne and Joseph P Geier (Dorothy) of Bel Air. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Pumphrey's Colonial Funeral Home (300 W Montgomery Ave, Rockville, MD 20850). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (11701 Clopper Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878).
