He is survived by: his spouse Paddy Shakin; his stepchildren, Jessica Shea (Mike) and Joshua Shakin (Nina Schichor); his grandchildren, Alex, Samantha, Molly and Hailey; his close friend Tony Stangert; and his siblings, Carole DeFiore (Joe), Patty Stevenson (Todd), Lori Doty, Dennis Sarisky (Aricela Lily) and Donald Sarisky (Lisa). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
