He was predeceased by: his mother Marie Elizabeth Wenzel; and his son William D. "Bill" Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Carol M. Hoffman; his children, James B. Hoffman (Colleen), Julie Hoffman McGurn (William) and John M. Hoffman (Jennelle); his granddaughter Grace; his sister Barbara Hoffman; his sister-in-law Jan Hoffman; and his niece Elizabeth.
