Samir Succar Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samir Succar of Rockville, Maryland, who passed away on January 26, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Diana. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Samir Jr. and Daniel Succar; his grandchildren, Miles and Mina; his brothers, Antonio and Oscar; his grandmothers, Liliana, Helga, Lucia and Cecilia; his brothers-in-law, Ignacio and Rafael; his family Colombia; and his brother Tony. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to express their sympathies consider making a donation in his memory to the Foundation of the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) and to support the Alzheimer's research of Doctor Madhav Thambisetty. Dr. Thambisetty was Sam's neurologist who is conducting important research on Alzheimer's Disease at the National Institute on Aging (NIA) at NIH.
