Seldon Douglas Higgins Obituary

We announce the death of Seldon Douglas Higgins of Rockville, Maryland, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 100. Seldon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Seldon H. Higgins and Henrietta Jamison; his wife Mary Thomas Higgins; and his son Tyrone Douglas (Karen Rochelle). He is survived by: his daughter Constance Charmain (Connie); his grandsons, Douglas Higgins Newsome and Bobby Dean Newsome, Jr. (BJ); his granddaughter-in-law Cesarina Sanchez; his great grandchildren, Douglas, Yasmine Newsome, Kevin and Isaac Sanchez; his sister Ricki Sudderth; his godchildren, Beverly Burton, Lyndia-Anne Cash, William Swope, Jr. and Norman Ward, Jr.; and his niece Judy Mauldin. He is also survived by Four sisters-in-law and a host of relatives and friends.
