We are sad to announce that on October 23, 2023, at the age of 80, John Frederick Motz of Roland Park, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Catherine Grauel Motz and John Motz; his wife Diana Gribbon Motz; his children, Catherine Motz (Christopher Callaghan) and Daniel Motz (AJ Furay); his grandsons, Jack of Baltimore, Peter of Baltimore and Matthew Motz of Baltimore; and his sister Catherine Peterson (Cemmy) of Washington, DC..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends School of Baltimore, http://www.friendsbalt.org, where donations will be directed towards student financial aid, or the CollegeBound Foundation, https://secure.qgiv.com, where a scholarship has been established in Fred's name.
