He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Lee Almes; and his parents, Guy Thomas Almes and Cecelia Frances Clarke. He is survived by: his son Gary Thomas Almes; his daughter-in-law Kristen; his grandchildren, Kelsey Marie Almes and Griffin Thomas Almes; and his great grandchild Ava Grace Economas.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (8212 Philadelphia Rd, Rosedale, MD 21237).
