He was predeceased by: his wife Anita Malin; his son Michael Malin; and his brother Charles Malin. He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Schoppert (John); his brother Frank Malin; his grandchildren, Christa Serio (James), Jason Schoppert (Kelly) and John Schoppert Jr. (Miranda); and his great grandchildren, Lyla and Piper.
