He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmanuel Amato and Catherine Amato (Chase); and his sibling Rosellen Amato. He is survived by: his wife Mary Patricia "Patti" Amato (McKewen); his daughters, Elena Cecelia Amato of Columbia, Antonette Amato Lalia (Andrew) of Perry Hall and Angela Mira Amato of Rosedale; his grandchildren, Evelyn Rose Lalia, Ajla Grace Lalia, Amelia Joy Lalia and Kena Chase Lalia; his siblings, Joe Amato (Diane), Mary Hall (Ken), Harry Amato (DeAnn) and Guy Amato (Theresa); and his siblings-in-law, Michele Baylor and Jan Farrell (Pat). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in remembrance of Sam, may be made to the scholarship fund honoring Samuel Chase Amato (1960) to Mount Saint Joseph High School, 4403 Frederick Ave, Baltimore, MD 21229.
