He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Hughes and Marie Kane Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Altvater Hughes; his sisters, Faith Hughes Matthews (William) and Kathy Hughes Diefenbach (Roy); his nephews, Chuck Eder (Bluie) and Brian Eder (Angie); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Julianna, Rhys, McKenna, Nicholas and Harper.
