He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold A. Bittner and Helen E. Bittner (Miller); his mother-in-law Cheryl Burrier; his grandfather Jim; his wife Cheryl R. Bittner (Burrier); his siblings, Barbara A. Abraham (Bittner) and H. Richard Bittner; his cousin C. William Messner (Bill); and his brothers-in-law, Donald G. McCleaf and Robert W. Abraham, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Aaron G. Bittner (Linda) and Stacie K. Massett (Matthew); his sisters, Alice (Bittner) and Joan Fry (Bittner); his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Bittner (Lawyer) of Thurmont, MD; his friend Peggy Elgin of Rocky Ridge, MD.; his grandchildren, Katie (Adam Clark) of Andover, MA, Calvin Bittner of Hartford, CT, Samuel (Sydney), Anna (Benjamin Whyatt) of Asheville, NC, Cheryl Bittner (Daniel Reall), Michael (Lindsey), Christopher Maichle and Robert Maichle of Frederick, MD; and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Lillian and George.
