He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Urian Selser and Richard Albert Selser; his son Jeffrey Scott Selser; his sister Ellen Selser Schmolke Bates; and his brother-in-law William Schmolke.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Kozich Selser (Peggy); his son Alan R. Selser Jr.; his daughter-in-law Margaret Rose Jackson Selser; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew and Ryan Selser; his nephew William Schmolke; his nieces, Christine Schmolke Basile and Amanda Bates; and the mother of his children Marriam Vaughn (Georgia).
