He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Lee and Myrtle Fooks; his wife Lucille; his son Charles, Jr.; and his siblings, Edward, Mildred, James and George.
He is survived by: his daughters, Faith Fooks and Cynthia Burt (Daniel); his grandchildren, Philip Townsend (Jillian), Mark Townsend (Jennifer), Christie Krasteva (Iliyan), Zachary Burt (Sarah), Garrett Fooks (Margaret) and Kelsey Fooks; his great grandchildren, Mason, Austin, Jackson, Hallie, Savannah, Lily, Nikolas, Caison, Wyatt, Nathan, Levi and Kevin; and his sisters, Ruth Banks and Jean Hudson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
