She is survived by: her mother Gladys Lee Smith Messick; her husband Dale R. Layfield, Sr.; her children, Dale "Buddy" R. Layfield, Jr. and Kelly M. Layfield (Bo Parsons); her grandchildren, Riley and James Parsons; her siblings, Penny Tracey, Diane Burke (Ronnie), Sharon Jones (Steve) and John Messick, III; her mother-in-law Mary Ellen Layfield; and her sister-in-law Deborah Laird (Robert). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
