She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Letcher Jones and Grace Samples Jones; her son Steven Brewer; her former husband Robert Brewer; the father of her child Mark "Mickey" Whayland; and her siblings, Edna Dunn, Barbara Blankenship, JD Jones, Jr., Paul Jones and Ray Jones.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Tamara Brewer; her grandson Dr. Joshua Brewer (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Isaac and Benjamin Brewer; her daughter Ellen Whayland Dietz (Frank DeLizza); her grandson Mike DeLizza (Theresa); her great grandchildren, Adam and Luke; and her friend Robert Townsend.
