She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Dashiell and Flona White Dashiell; her husband Dayton Eugene Burton; her granddaughter Mallory Thomas; her great grandchild Lucien; her sisters, Mildred Webster and Edna Mae Widdowson; and her nephew Eddie Widdowson.

She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Burton Thomas of Salisbury; her granddaughter Megan Colman of Salisbury; her great grandchildren, Nathan, Scarlett, Blake, Hazel, Julian and Gemma; and her nieces, Donna Webster of Berlin, Sheila Darrah of Salisbury and Valerie Haldeman of Berlin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Coastal Hospice Macky and Pam Stansell House.
