He was predeceased by : his parents, Alton Savage and Rhoda Abbott Savage; and his siblings, Alton Savage, Jr. and Jane Lowry. He is survived by : his family Jesus; his significant other Ruth Ann; his children, John Savage, Jr. (Jay) and Christina Savage Wilson (Woody); his grandchildren, Selah Wilson, Brittany Wolske (Matt), Kelsea Cornell (Henry) and Caleb Wilson (Beverly); his siblings, Grace Hurley, James Savage and Celeste Savage; and his brother-in-law Johnny Rogers (Karen). He is also survived by his family, church family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in Mr. Savage's honor to: H.A.L.O., 119 South Blvd., Salisbury, Maryland 21804 or Trinity United Methodist Church Missions, 112 High Street, Salisbury, Maryland 21801.
