As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Leon may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roland Rickards and Helen Rickards (Engelhardt); his daughters, Olivia and Lara Owens; and his friends, Sandra Chen, JoAnne Roland and Roberta Sherman.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery (26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966).
