Leona Jones Weidema Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 93, Leona Jones Weidema (Salisbury, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Leona Jones may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Leona Jones touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Donald Jones of Salisbury and Lois Purcell of Salisbury. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Weidema (Karen) of Pocomoke and Linda L Weidema Guilderson (Paul) of Gaithersburg; her grandchildren, Laura Weidema of Virginia Beach and Bradley Weidema (Melissa) of Millersville; and her great grandchildren, Eleanor and Weston Weidema of Millersville Md.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Salem Church (500 2nd St, Pocomoke City, MD 21851). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
