He was predeceased by: his parent Starling Higgs. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Waters-McNeil; his children, Marita (Rahul), Marquita (Wayne), Marlo Jr. (Nicole), LaRon Sr. Tann and Ky'Rique; his stepdaughters, Kenisha and Cherayl; his siblings, Shelton (Cynthia) and Vaneisa (Spencer); his parents-in-law, Vernon and Louise; his siblings-in-law, Samuel (Teena), Vernon Jr. (LaVera) and Carolyn (Reginald); and his godchildren, Oliver, Tony, Miracle, John "Buck" Rogers, Michael Kellam, Anthony Tull, Sr. and Marlo. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
