She was predeceased by: her parents, Zedoc T. Pennewell and Bertie Mae Pennewell (Bailey); her husband Wendell L. Townsend; and her son-in-law Sam Smack. She is survived by: her children, Marianne Smack of Eden, MD and W. Alan Townsend of Salisbury, MD..
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Olivet Cemetery (6817 Meadow Bridge Rd, Eden, MD 21863).
