He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Linwood Smack and Pearl Washburn Smack; his siblings, Doris Norman, June White, Peggy Horner, Mary Long, Sonny "Ed" Smack, David Smack and Linwood; and his brother-in-law Danny Pusey.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Whitt Smack; and his daughter Christina "Tina" Gillespie (Samuel "Skip"). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
