It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter H. Layfield Jr. (Salisbury, Maryland), who passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter H. Layfield Sr. and Dorothy Y. Perdue; his brother James Richard Layfield; and his half-brother Vernon Gravenor. He is survived by: his sister Betty Scarborough; his half-brothers, Charles and Wayne Gravenor; and his friend Billy Smith (Ellen).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Walt's memory to Powellville Volunteer Fire Department or Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Department.
