He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Marshall and Gwen Marshall; his brother-in-law L. B. Brittingham; and his father-in-law Ben Brittingham. He is survived by: his wife Susan Marshall (Brittingham); his son Ryan B. Marshall (Rachel); his grandsons, Thomas Richard, Caleb Benjamin and Micah Ryan; his mother-in-law Alice Brittingham; his sisters-in-law, Paige Workman (Jeff) and Joanie Brittingham; and his brothers, John Marshall and Gary Marshall.
