She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ligon and Martha Constance Havens Ligon; her sister Martha Louise Dang (Ligon); and her husband Richard P. Nockett. She is survived by: her children, Katherine Rodgers (Jesse) and Walter Nockett (Laura); her grandchildren, Cameron Rodgers, Wyatt Nockett and Mackenzie Nockett; and her siblings, John Keniston Ligon, Peter Garland Ligon, Julia Havens Ligon and Faye Hartshorne Caswell (Ligon). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Montgomery Hospice (Casey House) in honor of her dedication to caregiving and helping others.
