He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Maxine Kuykendall, (Leese) and E. Russell Kuykendall, Sr.; his brother Jeffrey Lynn Kuykendall; his stepmother Evelyn Hamner Kuykendall; and his stepsisters, Susan DeHart and Joyce Simpson.
He is survived by: his brother Ernest R. "Russ" Kuykendall, Jr. (Norma); his niece Karen Ann Grace (Kevin); his great-nephews, Elliott and Oliver Grace; and his stepsisters, Carolyn Dillow (Charles) and Dr. Candace Todd (Randy).
