She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Wassell and Esther G. Griffith Wassell; her husband Lester L. Chaney (Popeye); and her siblings, Henry Wassell, George Wassell, Walter Wassell and Rae Wassell Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Walter L. Chaney (Joan), Jackie L. Coale (late Steve) and Wanda L. Boschert-Ellis (Terry); and her brother Carvel Wassell. She is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Ann's name be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
