He was predeceased by : his parents, Noble Grant Machen and Catherine Anna Smith; his brother Carl Grant Machen of Baltimore Maryland; his children, Nancy Dale Jones, Michael Allen Machen and Franklin Milburn Machen Jr. As; and his grandchildren, Virginia June Arrington (Nancy) and Macey Marie Machen (Franklin Jr.).
He is survived by : his wife Estelle Gilley of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Danny Dula Jr., Karen Dula, Sarabeth Kennedy of Emmitsburg Maryland, Britney Swain of Chambersburg Pennsylvania, Rebecca Cummings and John Machen of Millington Maryland.
