He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meyer and S. Margaret Jurotich Meyer; and his sister Susan Henderson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Meyer; his children, Douglas Meyer and Karen Schemmel; his son-in-law Michael Schemmel; his grandchildren, Gregory Meyer, Abigail Schemmel and William Schemmel; and his sister Rosemary Sampson. He is also survived by uncle for many nieces and nephews, and the dear big brother to his two sisters.
