He is survived by: his wife Mary; his siblings, Catherine M Ruck, John F. Ruck Jr. and David P. Ruck; his children, Robert J. Ruck Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD, Diane R. Berge and Stephen F. Ruck (Kristin Davidson-Ruck) of Annapolis, MD; his grandchildren, Marin E. Ruck of Arnold, MD, Thomas Berge (Emma Berge) of Raliegh, NC and Ashley Berge; and his great grandchildren, Phillip and Braelynn.

“My brother Bill Witteman and I both had a wonderful friend in Bob. . We met him at Severna Park High School. He was first my brother’s shop teacher and then became my shop teacher. When our father died Dec 18, 1962 and we came back to school Bob took us under his close guidance. He taught both of us many skills that carried us through life. Bob and Mary have both been our friends tell this day. May God be with Mary and her family in this time of their loss. God now has Bob. Jack Witteman”
