As Robert Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Robert Edward. Though Robert Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnibel Bast (Harrison) and Raymond Leo Bast. He is survived by: his siblings, Gini Simmons (Bobby), Mike Bast (Donna), Bonnie Greenwell (Maurice) and Leslie Lewis (Kirk); his significant other Melody Wright; and his pet Magic Mike. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home-Owings (8325 Mt Harmony Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Robbie's family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robbie's memory to a charitable organization of one's choice.
