She was predeceased by: her parents, John Matthews and Sarah Scott Matthews; her sons, Leslie R. Gross, Sr., Chauncey "Glenn" Thompson, Sr. and Thomas B. Thompson, Sr. (Muriel "Wylene" Thompson); her husband Lionel Thompson, Sr.; her siblings, William, Thomas, Ellis, Calvin, Preston, Alexander, Jean, Thelma and Lucille; her grandson Thomas "Brian" Thompson, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Kathleen Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Lionel W. Thompson, Jr., Tonya A. Hill (Keith L. Thompson), Gene Thompson, Keith Thompson (Tammy) and Wylene Thompson; her sister Mary Tyler; her daughter-in-law Carol Ann Gross; her siblings-in-law, Credella Matthews, Beverly Blackstone, Loretta Holland and James Holland; and her aunt Frances Turner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
