He is survived by: his daughter Joyemi Jameson; his son-in-law Terrence Jameson; his grandchildren, Sacha and Sierra Jameson; his sister Sheila; his brother-in-law Jonathan Anuku; his siblings, Jacqueline Johnson, Sylvanus Duro Johnson, Columbus Jonah and Georgie Gabbidon; his aunt Judith Demolis; his cousins, Agnes Johnny and Claude Demolis (family: Teddy Thorpe); his sister-in-law Demi Phillips; and his family, Paul Luseni, Ruth and Elsa Belchow. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home (11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior (1700 Powder Mill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20903).
He will be remembered not only for his academic excellence and contributions to West African literature and education but also for his quiet wisdom, deep intellect, and unwavering commitment to his family and students.
