It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Athanasios Mantzouranis (Silver Spring, Maryland), who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Panagiotis Nikolaos Mantzouranis (Panagiota Panopoulos) and Arcadias; and his brothers, Nikolaos, Vassilios and Ioannis.
He is survived by: his wife Alexandra Mantzouranis (Aleka); his children, Penny Mylonas (Lefteri), Peter Mantzouranis (Vicki) and Voula Gheen (John); and his brothers, Evagellos (Ourania) and Konstantinos (Haroula).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (721 Norwood Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20905). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Washington, D. C. (721 Norwood Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20905). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
