She was predeceased by: her son Marlon Newsome; and her husband Thomas L. Newsome Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cemora Newsome-Carter and David Newsome; and her grandchildren, Cemora "CeeCee" Harrison, Leshia Weers (Jones), Jenai Carter, Teresa Davis and Travis Newsome. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
