With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl Campbell Dearie of Silver Spring, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dearie and Aileen Campbell Dearie. She is survived by: her husband John A. Smith; her brothers, Douglas Dearie (Christine), Stewart Dearie (Ridia) and John Dearie (Vati); her daughters, Christine Sniegowski (John) and Jennifer Welsh (Will); her stepdaughters, Holly Sullivan (Patrick) and Melissa Smith (Mike); and her grandchildren, Meaghan Sniegowski (James), Matthew Sniegowski, Grayson Welsh, Logan Welsh, Declan Sullivan and Darcy Sullivan. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
