She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leroy Thomas Dawkins, Sr. and Annie Means Dawkins; her child Dr. DeJuan E. Stroman Price; her brother Leroy Thomas Dawkins, Jr. (Laverne); and her sibling's child Parris Dawkins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church (818 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 20901). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Rock Creek Cemetery (201 Allison St NW, Washington, DC 20011). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church (818 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 20901).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital—a cause she supported faithfully throughout her life.
