She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Tonkins, Sr. and Catherine Glover Tonkins; and her siblings, James William Tonkins, Jr., Isaac Tonkins and Mary Catherine Tonkins Mills.

She is survived by: her husband Ronald Eugene Dozier; her sons, Colin Stuart Dozier and Alan Lester Dozier; her cousins, Elzora Holland, Brenda Miller and Robert Russell; her sister Margaret Tonkins Strothers; her grandchildren, Donnee Dozier, Sharmaine Peterson, Jalil Dozier, Daren Dozier, Sequoia Dozier, Joshua Miller and Trenton Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Michael Reinburg, Alayla Dozier, Blythe Basden, Dorian Basden and Alexios Dozier. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Fort Lincoln Funeral Home (3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery (3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722).
